The Intelligence and National Security Foundation (INSF) is now accepting applications for its 2022 undergraduate and master’s scholarship program. These six awards of $5,000 each will support mission-driven students pursuing studies related to a career in the U.S. intelligence and national security community. The charitable arm of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, INSF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to addressing contemporary intelligence and national security challenges.

New this year is the launch of the Letitia A. Long Endowed Intelligence Scholarship, which will be awarded to a female undergraduate who is a rising junior or senior and looking to pursue a STEM-focused career in the IC.

“We are thrilled to offer this new endowed award in honor of our trailblazing chair,” said Suzanne Wilson Heckenberg, president INSA/INSF. “Tish Long embodies what is possible when you work hard, prioritize relationships, and say ‘yes’ to the hard assignments. We are so pleased to recognize her impact on the intelligence and national security community while supporting our future female STEM leaders.”

Additionally, there are four Investing in the Future of the IC Workforce Scholarships available to undergraduate and master’s students. Two of these scholarships are specifically for students from underrepresented minority groups while the other two are open to all students who meet the award requirements.

HOW TO APPLY

Interested students must complete an application form on the INSF Scholarship Program page, which includes a brief essay and two academic references. A single, common application gives students an easy way to apply for multiple awards. Recipients will be selected based on academic standing and their stated commitment to the U.S. national security mission.

Current undergraduate and graduate students in accredited U.S. colleges and universities will have the opportunity to apply until COB on Friday, May 20, 2022.

For those interested in supporting the fund, a donation page has been created. All donations are tax deductible. Details on the scholarship program and how to apply can be found at www.insaonline.org/insf-scholarship.
