Deputy Director of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Space Operations Command

Ms. Borden is the Deputy Director of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance at Headquarters Space Operations Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. In this capacity she assists the Director in providing intelligence support to generate, present, and sustain the service presentation of space capability to combatant commands. She develops ISR policy and guidance for the command via oversight of ISR requirements development, analysis, and assessment, operations, plans, and special security. This enables the command's ability to execute effective and resilient space operations in support of the joint warfighter. 

Ms. Borden is also a Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves where she serves as Individual Mobilization Augmentee to the Commander of the Joint Intelligence Operations Center in the Directorate of Intelligence at Headquarters United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. In this capacity, she commands 225 joint, civilian and coalition members in the execution of Intelligence Operations for CDRUSSPACECOM. In addition, she orchestrates unified action across the Command in support of operations, plans & targeting. 

Ms. Borden enlisted in the Air Force in 1990 as a Communications Computer Operations Specialist. In 1994, she earned a scholarship through the Airmen’s Scholarship Commissioning Program and was commissioned in 1995 as a graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Florida State University. She is a career intelligence officer and has served in a variety of positions throughout her career. She has served at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels from service to joint commands. Additionally, Ms. Borden served as the National Reconnaissance Office's senior field representative to United States Space Command. Ms. Borden has deployed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and to Turkey in support of Operation NORTHERN WATCH.
