Marcel Lettre is Vice President for National Security Space in Lockheed Martin Government Affairs, where he supports the corporation’s delivery of innovative capabilities in key classified intelligence and military space mission areas.

Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in 2017, Marcel served for eight years in the Pentagon supporting four Secretaries of Defense, completing his service as the Senate-confirmed Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.  As the most senior intelligence advisor to the Secretary of Defense and the top defense advisor to the Director of National Intelligence, he oversaw a defense intelligence enterprise reflecting $17 billion in funding and 110,000 personnel across 9 agencies.  

Marcel’s prior government service was on Capitol Hill, as Senior National Security Advisor to the Senate Majority Leader and on the staff of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Marcel is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the US Army Science Board, and a past board member of INSA.
