In celebration of Black History Month, INSF and Cornerstone are hosting a conversation, on the importance of diversity and inclusion within the national security arena. Join us on Friday, February 26 at 2:00 pm ET to hear from some of our nation's top national security officials and proponents of equity. About the Speakers
Wyndee Parker is the National Security Advisor for the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Her responsibilities include advising Speaker Nancy Pelosi on national security and international affairs matters, and overseeing the activities of the Armed Services, Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Homeland Security Committees, and their Appropriations Committee counterparts. Prior to joining the Speaker’s office in2009, Ms. Parker was the Deputy Staff Director and General Counsel of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Charles Carithers joined Cornerstone Government Affairs as a principal in January 2020 from the House Committee on Homeland Security, where he serves as a professional staff member advising Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS) on various national security and intelligence matters. Before joining the Committee, Charles spent 11 years in the IC, having served in various leadership capacities, including the associate deputy director of public affairs for the IARPA and a senior policy officer developing national level policies governing the IC within the ODNI. Charles is a term member with the Council on Foreign Relations and the recipient of the Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award and Medal and the Secretary of Defense Global War on Terrorism Award and Medal.
