COL Timothy Measner USA

Colonel (COL) Timothy Measner is a native of Johnson City, TN and a 1998 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.  He received his commission as a U.S. Army Aviation Officer in 1998.

Upon graduation from Initial Entry Rotary Wing Training and the AH-64 Advanced Aircraft Qualification Course at Fort Rucker, AL, COL Measner served as a platoon leader in 1-6 Cavalry Squadron at Camp Eagle, Republic of Korea from 1999-2001.  After completion of the Aviation Captain’s Career Course, he served as Assistant S3, Company Commander, and Battalion XO in the 1-4 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, TX from 2002-2008.  This tour included two deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  In 2008, COL Measner transitioned to the Strategic Intelligence Functional Area, serving on the Joint Staff in the J28 and as an Assistant Deputy Director for Intelligence at the National Military Command Center.  From 2012-2013, he served as the Assistant Executive Officer to the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.  Following this assignment, COL Measner served in the USFK J22 from 2013-2014.  He then took the position of Chief of ISR Plans at USCENTCOM J2 in Tampa, FL from 2013-2017.  COL Measner was then selected as an Assistant Professor at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS.  From 2019-2021, he served at USAFRICOM in Stuttgart, Germany in both the J22 and J29.  Upon completion of Senior Service College, COL Measner joined U.S. Army Pacific in 2022 as the G2 Chief of Operations, Plans, and Exercises and served in that position from 2022-2025.  In August of 2025 COL Measner assumed command of the Joint Intelligence Operations Center for USSPACECOM J2 at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.

COL Measner is a graduate of the Aviation Officer Basic and Captains Career courses, as well as the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy, a Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Policy from the U.S. Naval War College.

COL Measner is married to Crystal and they have two children, Kaylen, 7 and Tyler, 5.
