Dr. Goldstein is a Senior Vice President and Fellow at Parsons Corporation, where he leads strategy, technology and campaigns as the Chief Strategy Officer in Parsons Defense and Intelligence. He has over 30 years of experience leading organizations and serving as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Scientist for multiple companies, ranging from VC-funded start ups to Fortune 500 corporations. He furthered the development of technology solutions in virtually all fields of ISR, command & control, electronic warfare, space and cyber. He has proven technical depth and breadth with expertise in advanced sensors, artificial intelligence, digital and mission engineering, signal processing and analytics.
Dr. Goldstein is a Fellow of both the IEEE (for contributions to adaptive detection in radar and communications) and the Washington Academy of Sciences. He received the 2019 IEEE Warren D. White Award “For contributions to the Design, Development and Fielding of Multi-Domain Radar, EW and Cyber Systems,” the 2002 IEEE Fred Nathanson Radar Engineer of the Year Award, and the 1999/2000 Clarke Griffiths Memorial Premium for best paper in the IEE Proceedings - Radar, Sonar and Navigation. He has authored or co-authored over 200 refereed technical publications and holds four U.S. patents in spread spectrum communications, advanced sensor data compression, ISR and adaptive processing for signal detection. Dr. Goldstein is a member of Sigma Xi, Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu and has served on numerous boards and panels for the U.S. government. Dr. Goldstein currently serves on the boards of both public and private companies. He also serves on the INSA Board of Directors, is a member of the AFCEA Intelligence and Technology Committees, and is a Vice President of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society.
Dr. Goldstein retired as a major general in the U.S. Air Force where he served as an experienced acquisition, cyber and space operations professional. He held command and leadership assignments as a flag officer at US Cyber Command / 24th AF / Air Forces Cyber, the Space and Missile Systems Center and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Major General Goldstein also held senior flag officer staff assignments at the pinnacle of Air Force leadership, working for the Air Force Secretary, Under Secretary and Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (SAF/AQ). He had senior staff assignments within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, and the National Reconnaissance Office. His awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Legion of Merit, and the Remote Combat Effects Campaign Medal with service star. He earned the Command Space Operations Badge, the Master Cyberspace Operator Badge and the Master Acquisition Badge.
