Roman Rozhavsky

Mr. Rozhavsky joined the FBI in 2006 as a special agent assigned to the Houston Field Office. From there he earned numerous field office and FBI headquarters promotions while overseeing national security matters that specialized primarily in protecting U.S. technology and innovation from being acquired by foreign adversaries. His career has also included leading many forward-leaning investigations into transnational repression and other complex counterintelligence threats.
Key achievements for Mr. Rozhavsky include receiving the FBI Director’s Award for Outstanding Counterintelligence Investigation for his work on an investigation into an extensive technology transfer network that provided sensitive U.S. technology to a foreign adversary and leading the formation of the National Counterintelligence Task Force, which combines the capabilities and authorities of 50 federal agencies, as well as hundreds of state, local, and international partners, to combat counterintelligence threats.
In his current role as the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division Assistant Director, Mr. Rozhavsky is responsible for ensuring the FBI successfully executes its national security mission to defeat foreign intelligence threats and activities targeting the United States.
