Nathan Ruiz

Nathan Ruiz, Senior Vice President of National Security at Govini, the market-leading defense acquisition software company. Govini has established a wide-ranging customer base across the U.S. federal government and with every military service. Surpassing unicorn status in 2025, the company has consistently achieved 100% year over year growth in revenue through a unique and innovative go-to-market strategy that focuses on mission, product, and delivering customer value.

Ruiz joined Govini in January 2021 after working as the Managing Director of Partnerships at Dcode, a D.C. based tech accelerator helping emerging technology enter the federal market. Previously he served as Director, Client Success at Optoro, a leading Washington, D.C. tech company helping retailers manage and optimize merchandise returns. Prior to that, he led corporate partnerships for the FBI’s premier private sector outreach program. Ruiz began his career as a Special Agent with the USAF Office of Special Investigations and still serves in the Reserve. He has commanded at the Detachment and Squadron level, and holds a BS from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MA from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MBA from Georgetown University.
