Rear Adm. Michael Studeman, USN

Former Commander of Naval Intelligence

Rear Admiral Michael Studeman is the former Commander of Naval Intelligence and Director, National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office. In this capacity, he was also a principal advisor to the Director of National Intelligence as National Intelligence Manager-Maritime. 

Previous assignments include Director of Intelligence (J2) at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Honolulu (2019-22) and the Director of Intelligence (J2) at U.S. Southern Command, Miami (2017-19). He previously commanded the Joint Intelligence Operations Center, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland, and Hopper Information Services Center, Suitland, Maryland. 

Rear Adm. Michael Studeman is the son of a career naval officer and a 1988 graduate of the College of William and Mary. He is a distinguished graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, a distinguished graduate of the National War College, and an honors graduate in Mandarin Chinese from the Defense Language Institute.
