Joe Vealencis serves as the Vice President of Strategic Communications for the U.S. Government Business at Vantor. Joe is responsible for all facets of Vantor’s government relations strategies and engagements with senior policymakers, including the National Security Council, National Space Council, Office of Management and Budget, senior Department and Agency political appointees, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate. In addition, Joe manages the marketing and communications activities for the U.S. Government business vertical, closely aligning Vantor’s communications and messaging across all external stakeholder groups and supporting go-to-market teams to generate revenue opportunities.

Prior to joining Vantor and before a brief stint as a consultant supporting clients across the defense and intelligence space enterprise, Joe was the Chief of Staff at a leading aerospace, science and defense company, Ball Aerospace (now part of BAE), with revenues of over $2 billion per year. Joe was Ball’s first Chief of Staff, tasked with helping its new President manage the company’s 300% growth over the preceding five-year period, serving as strategic advisor in the management of the company’s daily operations and the Leadership Team’s execution of its strategic plan.

Joe has more than 23 years of government service and possesses a depth of experience within numerous national intelligence agencies. He served as Deputy Director, Office of Legislative Affairs for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, where he supported the Director and senior leadership in fulfilling their statutory obligations to keep the Congress informed of intelligence-related activities. Prior to that, he served as the Director of the Office of Congressional and Public Affairs at the National Reconnaissance Office, elevating the once-secret multi-billion-dollar agency’s profile with the Congress and the public. He also held senior and director-level positions with the National Counterterrorism Center, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the U.S House of Representatives’ Committee on Homeland Security.

Joe is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (BS) and the National Defense Intelligence College (MS). He sits on the Board of Directors as President Emeritus for the National Space Club & Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting youth education activities in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields with an emphasis on space-related fields.
