Rhett "Dan" Salisbury is a Defense Intelligence Senior Leader at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) and currently serves as Director of NGA Denver Integrated Operations, where under his leadership, he ensures the site is properly manned, trained, and equipped to achieve the President's and War Department's priorities.
Previously, Dan served as the Senior Technical Advisor in the Office of Sciences and Methodologies, where he led sensor integration for emerging GEOINT systems, provided guidance to imagery and data scientists, and advised NGA leadership on the application of sciences and technology for mission success. Before that, he was the Deputy Office Director for the Office of Analytic Technology, where he led product teams and provided mission ownership to the Agency's workflow modernization efforts. His earlier roles at NGA included serving as Branch Chief for the Source Throughput & Dissemination Branch and as a Requirements and Integration Analyst for new satellites and ground systems.
Prior to joining NGA, Dan worked as a USMC civilian at the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, where he helped establish the USMC National GEOINT Program and expanded the USMC full-spectrum GEOINT workforce.
Dan is also a U.S. Army veteran and non-commissioned officer, having served in both active duty and reserve capacities.
Throughout his career, Dan has deployed to multiple locations and completed assignments in the United Kingdom and Japan. His accomplishments have been recognized with a National Intelligence Special Emphasis Award, along with numerous Meritorious Unit Citations, U.S. Army Commendations, and U.S. Army Achievements.
