Amber Nicholas is a forward-thinking executive with over 15 years of experience driving technology solutions across the Public Sector. She currently leads a portion of the CIA account within Amazon Web Services National Security (NatSec) vertical, where she supports customers and partners in advancing cloud initiatives across all classification levels.
Amber is deeply committed to uniting the right people and technologies to deliver impact. Her prior roles at AWS include leading Strategic Partnerships for the National Security Sector and serving in various leadership positions supporting the Intelligence Community. In these capacities, she played a critical role in building strategic relationships, driving mission-focused solutions, and managing complex programs that influenced both government and commercial sectors.
Before joining AWS, Amber held positions across the industry, where she led technical deployments supporting mission-critical operations. She is recognized for her ability to lead diverse, high-performing teams with a deep understanding of the unique needs of national security customers.
Amber is actively engaged in the broader defense and intelligence community. She is a proud member of Iron Butterfly, the INSA Advisory Board, the INSA National Security Committee, AWS Women in NatSec, Women in National Security (WINS), and supports causes such as Pets for Vets.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from George Mason University and a Master’s in Management from the University of Central Florida. Amber resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, three children, and a lively household of pets.
