Generative and Agentic AI on AWS: From Mission Concepts to Secure Deployment
December 18, 2025 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Arlington, VA

On Thursday, December 18, INSA and the INSA Foundation held a half-day workshop, Generative and Agentic AI on AWS: From Mission Concepts to Secure Deployment. Underwritten by AWS and Anthropic, the program brought together professionals from government, industry, and academia to learn how agencies are securely and responsibly integrating generative and agentic AI capabilities into national security mission workflows.
Following a breakfast reception, Vince Frasure, Senior AI Specialist and Tech BD, AWS, and Ron Weinstein, Principal AI/ML Solutions Architect and Solutions Architect Manager, AWS, discussed how Claude runs securely on AWS. They noted the hosting architecture and the responsible AI guardrails designed to ensure data protection and trustworthy outcomes.
After a networking break, Mickey Hall, Public Sector Applied AI Team, Anthropic, focused on mission applications and implementation pathways using Claude. He demonstrated how Anthropic applies AI across use cases, such as AI agents, document triage, summarization, and reporting. The live demo provided attendees with practical insights for pilot planning, compliance considerations, and responsible integration.
The program included lively Q&A sessions addressing ethical AI implementation, real-world mission use cases, and opportunities for smaller organizations to grow their business prospects.
