Workplace Safety in the IC: Navigating the New Normal

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented our community with many unprecedented challenges. Now, as organizations prepare to return to work sites, leaders from across the public, private and academic sectors must grapple with a range of issues surrounding the safety of their workforce.

Join INSA on June 16 from 2:00-3:00 pm ET to hear senior leaders from government and industry discuss what's working, what's not and what remains to be addressed. From working in shifts and expanding telework to use of PPE and liability concerns, our panelists will share their insights, concerns and plans for their organizations.

Get to know the panelists: 

Currently, Randy Fofi serves as NGA's Director of Installation Operations, responsible for managing the operation of NGA facility and support services at three core and various outlying sites. Since his assignment to NGA, Mr. Fofi's titles have included Deputy Director of the Office of Protective Services; Deputy Director of NGA Defense; Deputy Director of Installation Operations; Director of Military Readiness; and Associate Deputy Director of Military Support. His federal career began in the United State Army Corps of Engineers, through which he was assigned to Deputy Commander of I Corps (Rear); Commander, 555th Engineer Brigade at Fort Lewis, Washington; Deputy Commander of the Northwestern Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Portland, Oregon; among others.

John McDermott has been in his current role as an Emergency Management Specialist for the Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR) at the Department of State since February 2018. In this capacity, he coordinates INR's participation with both the Department of State and the Intelligence Community in joint exercises. Mr. McDermott began his career at the Department of State in July 2008 as an operator in the Emergency Management Center. In June 2010, he transitioned to the Operations Team with the Diplomatic Continuity Programs Division within the Office of Emergency Management. Prior to working at the Department of State, Mr. McDermott served as a Uniformed Division Officer in the U.S. Secret Service.

Jeanine Callahan has more than 20 years of management and consulting experience supporting defense, intelligence, and homeland security customers. Prior to her role as Vice President of Corporate Operations at Plus3 IT Systems, she previously served as Eagle Ray's Chief Growth Officer where she oversaw the execution of its enterprise growth agenda. Jeanine is a member of the INSA's Advisory Committee and a founding member of the GMU School of Business Women in Business Advisory Board. Ms. Callahan holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Service in Economics from Georgetown University and a Master's in Technology Management from George Mason University, among many other professional certifications and accreditations.

Rich Lambert is currently the Vice President of Enterprise Services, Infrastructure Operations, and the CIO for Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector. Prior to this role, Mr. Lambert served as the Vice President of Operations and International for Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Shared Services organization and held several other leadership positions, including: Director and CIO for the Northrop Grumman Corporate Office;  Program Director for the Enterprise Shared Services special programs; and IT Director for the former Electronic Systems Enterprise Resource Planning program office. Dedicating most of his career to Northrop Grumman, Rich Lambert has over 30 years of experience in program, project, and business management, as well as information technology.
