The New IC: Empowering Women and Engaging Men
INSA is pleased to host its inaugural symposium, The New IC: Empowering Women and Engaging Men, to provide a platform for public discussion on professional issues women encounter in the Intelligence Community (IC) and in pursuing national security careers.
This full-day symposium on Thursday, May 17, 2018, will feature senior leaders from the IC and partner organizations. Strengthening mentorship opportunities between men and women, increasing representation of women in technology, and rising through the leadership pipeline are among the issues to be addressed over four panel discussions and two keynote presentations. One panel will be hosted by the Amazing Women in the IC (AWIC), an organization dedicated to the development of professional women serving the U.S. national security mission.
In addition, attendees will be able to participate in the annual “Mother, Daughter, Sister, Spy” luncheon hosted by the International Spy Museum, among other networking opportunities throughout the day.
INSA aims to host an inclusive event that encourages participation and dialogue from women and men in the intelligence and national security fields, and will give all attendees professional development tools and perspectives they can apply in their own careers.
Further event details will be announced at a later date.
