About Melissa Smislova
Melissa Smislova currently serves as the Acting Under Secretary of Intelligence and Analysis (AUSIA) in the Department of Homeland Security. In this capacity, she oversees the DHS Intelligence Enterprise Readiness divisions as well as Intelligence Enterprise Mission Centers, which serve as the Department's center of gravity for intelligence-driven integration of analysis and operations. She also oversees all of the Intelligence and Analysis personnel embedded in fusion centers and other strategic locations nationwide. Prior, Ms. Smislova served as the Deputy Under Secretary for Intelligence Enterprise Readiness, leading all Intelligence support and enabling functions to include several large data analytic projects, management of DHS's secure IT systems, DHS Intelligence Policy, and more! Ms. Smislova joined DHS in 2004, but she has served the IC in a variety of roles since 1985.
