About the Speaker
Margaret Augustine was appointed the CIA's Procurement Executive in September 2017. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing the Agency's acquisitions workforce, policies, and execution. She joined the CIA in 1983 as a Procurement Officer. Since then, she has held a variety of acquisitions positions of increasing responsibility to include serving as a Contracting Officer in the areas of Communications, Analysis, and Research and Development where she was responsible for a myriad of major programs. Ms. Augustine previously oversaw the Agency's newly-formed CIO IT Acquisition Strategy function and spent time serving on the CIA COO's staff. Prior to becoming the CIA's Procurement Executive, Ms. Augustine served at the NRO, where she was responsible for multiple enterprise-level business operations providing services to NRO customers worldwide.
