For decades the William Oliver Baker Award has served as a mark of excellence, distinguishing an extraordinary individual for their sustained commitment to excellence in intelligence and national security affairs.
Eligible candidates include members of the government, private industry, and/or academic communities who have devoted a substantial portion of their professional career to intelligence and national security affairs.
Recent recipients include the Hon. Susan M. Gordon (2021), GEN Keith B. Alexander (USA, Retired) (2019) and the Hon. Stephanie O'Sullivan (2018). View the full list of past awardees.
The Committee will review nominations based on the following criteria:
- Sustained excellence in their contribution to intelligence and national security affairs over a considerable period of time, or a single achievement of extraordinary merit;
- Contribution in the scientific and technical disciplines or in other fields essential to the enhancement of intelligence and national security interests;
- Technical enhancement of unusual significance, management proficiency of a high order, or development or application of techniques that permit cost savings of substantial magnitude.
The recipient will be announced in early 2022 and recognized at the William Oliver Baker Award Dinner on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Omni Shoreham.
